Symptoms of contact dermatitis
What are the symptoms of contact dermatitis?
Contact dermatitis is defined as skin inflammation that results from direct contact between the skin and an irritant. Only the specific areas of the skin that touched the irritants will show symptoms. It is possible to spread the skin inflammation to other parts of the body if the irritant is not washed off the skin.
Contact dermatitis symptoms include:
- Pink or red rash
- Raised red bumps on skin
- Mild to severe itchy skin
- Dried or cracked skin
- Tender or swollen skin
- Blisters containing pus or fluid, in severe contact dermatitis
