Chlamydia infections in men can lead to the development of urethritis and epididymitis. Another complication arising from chlamydial infections in men can include proctitis resulting from infection with the Lympho- granuloma venereum (LGV) strain.

Urethritis

The primary site of Chlamydia infection in males is the penile urethra and Chlamydia infection is a major cause of urethritis in men.

Epididymitis

Chlamydial infection in men can also cause epididymitis. The development of epididymitis is most common in younger men under the age of 35.
