What is the best way to prevent Seborrheic dermatitis from recurring?
After the symptoms of Seborrheic dermatitis are gone, the following steps should be taken to prevent Seborrheic dermatitis from recurring:
- Use an antifungal shampoo on the scalp once a week and leave it in for five minutes before rinsing out. Otherwise use a normal shampoo.
- Wash the body daily with soap and water.
- Occasionally some patients should use an antifungal cream 1-3 times a week on the most susceptible skin areas.
